Frequently Asked Questions About Our Steel Products
Q: Is your steel made in the USA?
A: Yes. All steel we sell is sourced from American mills and cut to length in our own shop. Every product is proudly MADE IN THE USA.
Q: Can I request a custom length?
A: Yes. If you need a size or length not listed, contact us — we offer custom cutting on nearly all tubing, angle, and flat bar sizes.
Q: How accurate are your cuts?
A: All pieces are precision-cut with a tolerance of ±1/16", unless otherwise requested.
Q: Will my steel arrive oiled or dry?
A: Most A513 and A500 tubing arrives with a light mill coating (slight oil or dry). This is normal for structural steel and helps prevent rust in storage.
Q: How do I know the shipping weight is correct?
A: Shipping weight is calculated using the product’s exact weight plus 3 lb for packaging. This ensures accurate rates through UPS, FedEx, or USPS.
Q: Can I order multiple pieces to save on shipping?
A: Yes. We combine shipping automatically. Adding multiple lengths or sizes often reduces the overall shipping cost per piece.
Q: What is your return policy?
A: We offer 30-day returns. The buyer covers return shipping. Custom-cut pieces are typically not returnable unless there is an error on our end.
Q: Do you offer bulk or wholesale pricing?
A: Yes — contact us for discounts on full sticks, bundles, or recurring business orders.
Q: Can these products be welded?
A: Absolutely. All our steel is weldable using MIG, TIG, or stick welding. A513 and A500 tubing both weld extremely well.
Q: What can I use this steel for?
A: Common uses include:
• Fabrication
• Repair work
• Brackets and mounts
• Trailers
• Automotive and off-road
• Farm equipment
• Structural reinforcement
• Custom metal projects
Q: How fast do you ship?
A: Orders ship in 1–3 business days from our Kansas facility.
Q: Do you offer local pickup?
A: Yes — local pickup can be arranged by appointment.
